Othello Park Redesign Workshops2/9/2010
The workshops will be hosted by OPA in conjunction with Seattle Parks Department and University of Washington Landscape Architecture students. The first workshop in a series of three will take place Saturday February 27th starting at 9:30 am. At this workshop participants will discuss programmatic and capital development of the park, get a tour of the park, hear from technical experts and break out into design group sessions. The design sessions will be divided into three topic areas including: safety & lighting, landmarks & zones and water. The Othello Park Alliance is hosting a series of park redesign workshops for Othello Park. The OPA works to ensure that Othello Park’s beauty and open space is retained, enhanced, and integrated into a vibrant, multicultural, pedestrian-friendly Othello town center and residential community by coordinating community events and making capital improvements in the Park.
