Loan Originator

housing, providing first-time homebuyer education, and counselling, and making
home loans to qualified buyers. We work closely with multicultural residents throughout the state of Washington to foster equitable economic development.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Loan Originator with excellent customer service
skills to work with customers underserved by mainstream lenders to join our
lending team and grow our mortgage lending business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops relationships with realtors, brokers, builders, and developers to
    originate acceptable and well-documented residential mortgages.
  • Participates in various business development activities.
  • Contacts potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
  • Interviews applicants to collect information concerning their financial needs,
    objectives and status. Obtains and analyses pertinent financial and credit
    data.
  • Obtains all pertinent applicant generated information needed to ensure the prompt and efficient processing and funding of all loans.
  • Maintains consistent communication flows throughout loan process, with all involved parties to ensure timely appraisals, credit decisions, funding and resolve
    issues and questions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain thorough understanding and familiarity with program/product policies and
    procedures and continually provides accurate and updated information to
    customers and sources of business, including HomeSight purchase
    assistance, conventional, and FHA loans programs.
  • Monitors new business to ensure conformity with investor standards.

Required:

  • Hight School diploma or equivalent
  • Willing to obtain Loan Originator license through NMLS
  • General understanding of federal and state lending regulatory and compliance
    requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to problem solve and prioritize workload.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred:

·  Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. 

·       Experiencewith FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage products and underwriting guidelines, WSHFC (Washington State Housing Finance Commission) product lines preferred.

·       Experience with Calyx and Desktop Underwriter.

·       Working knowledge of Salesforce

 

·       Current license as a Loan Originator through NMLS.

Customer experience specialist

HomeSight is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist.

Position Summary

This position will support the Lending Originations Department and Homebuyer Education Department with the duties below, and others as assigned or needed.

This is a fast-paced role that will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to grow and develop their customer services skills while becoming an integral part of our operations.

Our ideal candidate will have experience providing excellent customer service in a lending or financial education environment.  Experience with Salesforce, Encompass, and/or Microsoft Office Suite is ideal.

While the skills listed above are ideal, they are not all necessary to be successful at HomeSight.

We firmly believe that the right candidate, who brings the most necessary of skills can learn and grow while on the job.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

·        First point of contact for lending, homebuyer education, and referral clients.

·        Primary contact and support for web portal profile creation, class registration, counseling appointments, and service line setup.

·        Front desk support for Homeownership Center clients.

·        Backup to the Loan Originator Assistant for lending client follow-up and communication, as needed.

·        Establish and maintain client files and records.

·        Ensure customer privacy, security of files, and appropriate handling of sensitive information.

·        Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.

·        Able to communicate with empathy and clear understanding of diverse communities.

·        Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.

·        Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.

·        Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage time.

Requirements:

·        Customer service experience

·        Hight School diploma or equivalent

·        Effective verbal and written communication skills

·        Highly organized with the ability to problem solve and prioritize workload.

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

·        Desire to be part of a team environment and go the extra mile when needed

 

Preferred skills:

·        Experience working in a lending and/or financial education environment

·        Experience with Salesforce

·        Bilingual – Spanish

Reports to: Homeownership Center Manager

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $50,575- $59,602

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Long and Short-term disability, Life Insurance and a 403B Retirement Plan. 10 days of annual vacation accrual, 13 paid holidays, 2 personal days, paid sick leave, unlimited ORCA transportation pass, and an Employee Wellness program.
