HomeSight

Building strong, vibrant communities through homeownership, economic development, and neighborhood revitalization.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 community development corporation and U.S. Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institution that promotes affordable homeownership opportunities through three (3) key interrelated program areas: homebuyer education and financial planning, buyer purchase assistance loan underwriting and origination, and new home construction.

Through private and public partnerships, HomeSight provides purchase assistance loans up to $70,000 for moderate – and low-income first-time homebuyers.

We facilitate one of the most comprehensive homeownership programs in Washington State. Our 7.5 hour curriculum is designed for potential buyers seeking basic to extensive knowledge of the purchase process. Homebuyer education classes are combined with financial assessment and coaching sessions where a HomeSight counselor and the potential buyer collaboratively create budget and homebuyer action plans. Understanding that each client utilizing the Program has different needs, HomeSight works to tailor the education, counseling, and purchase assistance to ensure clients’ needs are met.

To strengthen community and community development impact, the agency partners with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to implement the SE Seattle Community Safety Initiative (CSI).

For over a decade HomeSight’s community development projects have created affordable home ownership opportunities for moderate- and low-income households while investing $40 million into the communities we serve.

HomeSight currently serves the following designated target areas: Seattle, King and Snohomish Counties
